THE ENOTECA ITALIANA FOUNDATION
The Foundation Enoteca Italiana Siena aims to develop and continue the activity started in 1933 with the Exhibition of Typical and Fine Wines and then continued with the Ente Mostra Vini Enoteca Italiana until its dissolution in 2017.
The Foundation Enoteca Italiana Siena is chaired by Elena D’Aquanno.
The Foundation Enoteca Italiana Siena has the following aims:
- Promote, disseminate and enhance the study, research and diffusion of the culture and practices of viticulture and oenology from antiquity to the present
- Enhance and protect quality viticulture, native vines, ancient and modern objects of sustainable viticulture, traditional and modern cultivation practices, as well as all local products
- Support local and sustainable economic development by encouraging preservation of rural areas, creating and integrating new businesses and services
- Foster the relationship between wine producers and the competent public authorities to promote wine and local products
- Promote the circular economy, safeguarding the health and nutritional aspects of food and wine, in synergy with the development of Italian agri-food sector
- Support the agri-food sector, identifying new areas to allocate resources for research, including the sustainable agri-food development
- Support participation in events, fairs and exhibitions of international relevance
- Carry out studies on new or existing markets necessary for the expansion and consolidation of market outlets in the sector
- Draw up studies to evaluate the results of information and promotion activities
